The founder Ludwig Dwersteg hands over the company to his sons Ludwig and Bernhard, and died just two years later, on June 27, 1925. |

Bernhard Dwersteg retires from the company while Ludwig Dwersteg continues running the business with prudence. |

In the early postwar years, non-alcoholic hot and cold beverages were produced and marketed. On the day of the currency reform the production of wine and spirits was resumed. |

Ludwig Dwersteg Jr, the son of the owner, joins the company. |

Ludger Teriete, a nephew of Ludwig Dwersteg, becomes a partner in the company which has now been converted into a limited partnership. |
1987
Ludwig Dwersteg Jr. retires from the company. Ludger Teriete is now the sole managing partner of the Dwersteg Distillery. |

The Dwersteg Distillery acquires the rights to the symbol of the “Friedensreiter” from the Münster wine and spirit merchant “Niemer”. |

Together with one of the last living Bauhaus Artists and Kandinsky students Heinrich Neuy, a symbiosis between painting and distilling: “Hommage à Kandinsky”. |

Upon successful completion of her Distillers Certificate at the Institute for Fermentation and Biotechnology in Berlin, Monika Teriete takes over responsibility for Product Development and Quality Management. |

Dwersteg Distillery is one of the first producers of spirits worldwide to develop a product line which is made exclusively from organic and fair trade ingredients – Dwersteg Organic. |

On the “Bio-fach 2001”, the trade exhibition for health food and natural products, the Dwersteg Distillery is awarded “Product of the Year – Biological products” for their Chocolate Cream Liqueur. |
2002
Eurotoques – an internationally operating association of chefs, which includes Paul Bocuse and Eckhard Witzigmann, appoint the Dwersteg Distillery as “Official Supplier”. |
